Data management, governance, and regulations
The main objective of Work Package Six is to:
Identify requirements for data collection, management, and sharing
Define requirements and generate guidelines/SOPs for data collection, management, and sharing on the CTC platform.
Generate data management plan
Ensure that the data management plan aligns to the regulatory requirements identified.
Design and build a machine learning and deep learning data cleaning model for the CTC platform
Build and implement a machine learning and deep learning model that will be used to automatically clean data obtained from public sources on an ongoing basis.
Description of Work
What and Why
-
To work with the respective partners and stakeholders within the CTCAN consortium to establish a data management plan of how data will be created, stored and shared through the CTC Africa platform. Data accuracy is the foundational pillar of the platform, and having a detailed plan of how this will be maintained will be of critical importance.
Goals
-
Identify requirements for data collection, management, and sharing.
-
Generate data management plan.
-
Design and build a machine learning and deep learning data cleaning model for the CTC platform.
Activities
-
Task 6.1 Identify requirements/regulations for data collection, management, and sharing through the CTC platform.
-
Task 6.2 Generate data management plan for data collection, management, and sharing through the CTC platform.
-
Task 6.3 Design and build a machine learning and deep learning data cleaning model for the CTC platform.
Expected Outcomes
-
Successful collaboration of partners to establish a robust data standard.
-
Expose the relevant API end points and methodologies to allow for other partners to share their data with the CTC Africa platform.
-
Publish the final data management plan on the portal.
Freedoms
-
Existing relationship with relevant stakeholders.
-
Knowledge of international data standards within the nuvoteQ team.
Constraints
-
Many public data sources do not follow data standards, so implementing a data standard might be challenging.
-
Lots of “dirty”data which we have to clean before entering the CTC Africa database.
