SFA Foundation hosts clinical trials consortium members

The Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) recently played host to a high-profile delegation from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), the Clinical Trials Community African Network (CTCAN) consortium, and the EDCTP Regional Networks of Excellence (NoE) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 15th to 17th April.

The gathering was pivotal for advancing collaborative efforts in clinical research and trials across Africa. Over the course of three dynamic days, the participants engaged in robust discussions aimed at enhancing the delivery of the CTCAN initiative, identifying points of synergy, and fortifying multilateral strategic partnerships among key stakeholders.

Moreover, the event provided a fertile ground for brainstorming potential joint initiatives, fostering knowledge exchange, and laying the groundwork for sustained growth through collaborative ventures. From sharing best practices to charting out actionable strategies, the meeting served as a catalyst for driving tangible outcomes and fostering enduring cooperation in clinical research and trials.

As the curtains drew on this landmark gathering, it left in its wake a strengthened resolve among participants to chart a clear roadmap for future collaboration, ensuring that efforts are laser-focused on achieving measurable results and nurturing enduring partnerships for the betterment of healthcare across the African continent and beyond.
